The Owners of all lots and parts of lots abutting any street or avenue in the City of Overbrook, Kansas, shall cause the street number assigned to each business, buildings, dwelling houses and other structure(s) located thereon to be displayed on the structure pursuant to this Article.

The numbers posted shall follow the numbering system that is recorded and maintained by the Osage County Sheriff’s Department.

The City Clerk the City of Overbrook, Kansas shall maintain a record of building and house numbers and display of a building or house number provided to an owner by the City Clerk shall be presumed to be the correct building or house number.

The numbering placed on any building or structure shall be at least three (3) inches in height, and shall be of such color and placed on the building or other structures in such a position that it can be easily seen from the public street fronting the building, structure or entrance intended to be numbered.

All owners of any building or other structures fronting or facing any public street or avenue of the City of Overbrook, Kansas, are hereby required to number such buildings or other structures, as provided herein, within 120 days from the effective date of this article (January 1, 2021), and all new structures constructed after the elapse of such time, must be so numbered within 30 days after completion or occupancy, whichever is earlier.

Any person, firm, corporation, association, or organization convicted of violating the provisions of this article shall be fined a sum not exceeding $25.00, and each day such violation is found to occur shall constitute a separate offense.
